Moreover, the principals of our firm have analyzed billions of dollars in lodging assets and securitized mortgages over the course of their respective careers.
Stone Bridge’s lodging investment program is highly relationship driven. While we review market opportunities that fit our investment criteria, the firm primarily works with industry operators, owners, investors and advisors with whom our principals have built a relationship with over time.
Our team’s deep experience with the transactional and management aspects of lodging properties allows Stone Bridge to navigate current market conditions to identify attractive investment opportunities and avoid prospective transactions that do not offer balanced risk-reward attributes.
Our principals’ background in active asset- and property management qualifies Stone Bridge to discern which opportunities offer returns that offset the elevated level of lodging-specific investment risks present in the current market. Stone Bridge primarily invests in debt and equity positions within the Lodging sector and deploys private investment capital alongside owners and operators to achieve attractive risk-adjusted returns.
Stone Bridge also considers conventional fee-simple acquisitions of lodging properties together with vetted operating partners. We evaluate both single-asset and portfolio transactions. On a select-basis, Stone Bridge considers the acquisition of non-performing loans secured by lodging properties at an appropriate discount to the loan amount. For these transactions, Stone Bridge works with co-investment partners that bring decades of experience in the special servicing and asset recovery business.
